A watch is the ongoing observation of a data-flow of interest to our client.

It may be of two complementary sorts:
a documentary watch  or   an  “early warning” watch.

Enkita Consultants makes extensive use of both online and offline materials.

Our partnership with Infoforce ensures our access to their proprietary database, Ptolemee 1.2. and theirs to ours, Photios. Likewise, Enkita Consultant has developed his own meta-research tool, Orion, which is being used in addition to other professional research and indexing programs.

Enkita Consultants believes in the necessity to combine technical capacities (web scanning, newspaper digitalization, ...) and trained human analytic capacities. One information will have a meaning to a trained and experienced professional that will evade a poorly trained or junior employee. Enkita Consultants ensure that all documentary surveillance is conducted directly by one our trained consultants – our unique selling point (USP) – or difference, and never by a trainee, student or sub-contractor.

A documentary watch includes compiling information from libraries, databases, Internet and newspapers on a topic defined by the client.

The aim may be to be alerted as soon as a “trigger event” occurs (a competitor launching a product, a change in management). This type of watch usually includes the constitution of a database and the addition of other services, such as an updated background check of key-actors and an initial profiling of the company targeted.

A documentary watch may be set up on a company, its structure, its key personnel, a product, a political event or a legal issue.
